Ways to Cope

The work outside of your therapy session it just as important as the work in session. Journaling, Affirmations and Breath Work are examples of ways to continue your healing.

Journaling

Journaling is an effective way to identify negative thoughts, recognize triggers, learn ways to manage triggers, practice positive self-talk and improve your mood. We encourage journaling as a form of self-care. Journal prompts can be provided for use outside of therapy sessions, to help manage anxiety, reduce stress and cope with depression.

Affirmations

Daily use of affirmations changes negative thought patterns, influence your sub-conscious mind to access new beliefs, and help boost self-confidence.

Breath Work

Breath work is a powerful way to access your body’s innate intelligence to heal itself. Breathwork reduces stress, anxiety, grief, depression, and anger. It helps increase self-awareness, presence, joy, and self-love.

“Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.”

- Oprah Winfrey
